Irish Centre Housing is a charity providing a number of high dependency hostels originally focusing on Irish communities in London. The original Conway House site was a conversion of two handsome Victorian Villas on the edge of a conservation area, with a 1960’s block to the rear.
The new development will provide sixty bed spaces for homeless people in the local area. Each resident will have their own room and will have access to all the on-site facilities. Our proposal takes advantage of the sloping site to provide a lower ground floor level with dining space that will open onto landscaped garden. The majority of the flats within the residential block are dual aspect with living/ kitchen/ dining rooms overlooking the sunny landscaped courtyard.
